Do Something Great today

Do Something Great today

Do you like fun and adventure?

Would you like seeing young people aged 8 to 10 1/2 grow, develop and have fun whilst you do too?

Can you spare an 1 hour 15 minutes of your time a week to do something great in your community?

Why not become a permanent helper or even think about becoming fullly uniformed.

No experience necessary, just a desire to have fun and a like of the great outdoors – full on the “job” training will be given.

If interested please contact the Cub Leader ( Akela) by e-mailing : enquiries@secondsouthwick.org.uk

Air Activities – Come fly with me – September 2014

On the 27th September Akela drove a minibus filled with 11 cubs ( and some leaders!) to visit Gatwick Aviation Museum, This year the Cubs have been working towards their Air Activities badge and needed to visit a museum and learn more about planes.  A great time was had by all and the Cubs got to go inside a Shackleton plane from the cold war 60’s and talk to the original Captain who used to fly the plane. Many thanks to our Guide who gave us a tour and to the Captain of the plane.

Road Safety – Ask a Policeman – September 2014

   |   By  |  0 Comments

With the dark nights and winter coming the cubs had great fun learning  about Road safety and were able to ask a Cub parent all about his job in Sussex Police. The Cubs even got to see and hold the different types of Truncheon and night sticks that the police have used over the years. We nearly lost KAA who went off and hid in the dark in high viz clothing so the Cubs could shine a torch to try and spot him.  Many Thanks to PC Pattenden for coming in.
